While the iconic Big Five freely roam these grounds, it’s the presence of extraordinary and uncommon species such as bush babies, black rhino, hippos, and elands the largest antelope in southern Africa.

What can I say to describe our time at Ndlovu…. My mum and I came here after a long-held ambition to go on safari, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Sanet and her incredible team were so helpful, hospitable and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The food was exquisite and the chefs came out every evening to make sure we’d enjoyed our meal, and the rangers (April and Phil) that took us out were incredible. They didn’t stop until we’d seen everything and taught us so much, not just about the animals but so much more. The view from the lodge looked out over the watering hole so even while in the pool or eating lunch you could see zebras, warthogs, monkeys and even an elephant or two. Thank you Sanet and your wonderful team for making us feel at home in the time we were with you, and making our first safari one we’ll never forget and felt quite emotional to leave. Truly magical, I can’t recommend enough!

Our recent stay at Ndlovu lodge was one of the best experiences of our lives. We arrived with high expectations, having read all the reviews online but the team at Ndlovu far surpassed these. The lodge is beautiful, with wonderful facilities, food and amazing game viewing in the superb Welgevonden Reserve, but what makes it extra special is the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us during our stay, from being so kind and caring to our daughters to making an amazing effort for a special birthday - what an amazing team! April was an incredible ranger, we went on six brilliant drives with him and he was so knowledgable, kind and persevered tirelessly in seeking out the best viewings for us. He was extremely attentive and supportive of our requests to focus on certain areas and we were very grateful for this. Ndlovu is a small and wonderfully intimate lodge which we didn’t want to leave - a very special place and we highly recommend it as an incredibly special safari destination.
